Very thin fabric may be fine for summer but often looks cheap and becomes see through. I like when a shop clearly shows PD, lens height and bridge width in millimeters. Even big and famous brands sometimes send generic replies that are not very helpful. Clear product descriptions save time and reduce the chance of disappointment. Sometimes a store looks great in ads but the real product is completely different. Each material has advantages and disadvantages depending on season and activity.

Sometimes I even measure an existing frame with a ruler before ordering anything new. Reviews that mention long term use are more valuable than comments written on day one. From my experience, communication with the store can tell you a lot. Some pieces look shiny online but feel like plastic when you open the package. Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers.
