I have several email accounts / IMAP set-up. So looking at my tree of email accounts one inbox might have 10 mail total and 3 unread form earlier. It's not until I click on that folder I will then see FixTechGuide Office 365 troubleshooting the 10 and 3 and two second later it will sync and new ones will populate.

• Microsoft Outlook is terrible in IMAP.
• Perhaps something in TB needs to be tweaked.

• A primary way to compromise an O36 user is phish a user, steal their creds, and connect via IMAP to get a copy of a whole mailbox.
• That means that Mail app fully connected to server , asked for statuses, but not displaying anything.
• So my Junk folders do not have that box checked, but the Inbox doesn't have a box to be be checked - their behavior is the same they are both not syncing, until I manually click on them to force the sync.

It's just that the contents seem completely disconnected from what I see using webmail. All messages that were trashed in Outlook still appear in All Mail when accessed using webmail, even days later. So it must be something in IMAP protocol handling on the old server that makes the iOS Mail app go out of sync or crash the syncing mechanism on the iOS device. Maybe some encoding behavior or just a different linefeed or something that has changed over the years... Otherwise why even have the ability to auto-sync? I have seen this disparity for years across different Outlook client versions and Windows versions. I also posted on the Gmail subreddit about a year ago. After instalation ios 18 all my accounts in mail app stopped to sync( including icloud mail). I can only recive mails but when I delete mails on macbook they are not deleted on iphone. If an IMAP Inbox isn't displaying new messages as they arrive at the server, but only when the Inbox is selected, there is something wrong with the setup. Run TB in safe mode (hold Shift when you launch TB) and see if it makes any difference.

But, before that, let’s understand the cause of the issue. I use both webmail and Outlook desktop client to access my Gmail. I am normally looking at the All Mail folder on Outlook. Whenever I drag messages from the All Mail folder to the Trash folder on Outlook, these messages remain visible in the All Mail repair PST file without data loss folder when accessed via webmail. Furthermore, when calendar invites are accepted using the Outlook client, they disappear from All Mail and go into the Trash folder, but when using WebMail, they remain in the Inbox.
